After few days of re-listening entries for the Voice Acting Casting (for the Far Beyond the World Animation Project) I'm finally done with the eliminations! What I'd like to say before announcing the contestants who made it to the semi-final is that the level was really high and it was VERY hard for me to choose 46 contestants out of around 220~   All of You did really an amazing job!

EDIT: I'm still waiting for some new recordings from the participants so I've decided to make a two-day extention for the semi-finalists!
If any of the semi-finalists are not satisfied with the previous entries they can still submit more until Wednesday 23th January (all day). I'll be announcing the cast on Thursday (You guys are not making that decision easy, I tell You ;_; )

Hello everybody!
Just few days ago I announced the voice acting casting and now, when it's over, I must say, I'M OVERWHELMED with the amount of help and submissions to the animation project! ;A; Overall, I've got over 250 submissions that I'm still checking out (so I'm sorry If I my replies are a little delayed..But I'm just a person, not a company X'D). Regarding to the fact that I've got so many submissions and the choice of the actors is constantly getting harder for me (some of them were so great I've been nearly spasming due to the excitement), I've decided that I'll announce the cast on Monday 21th Thank You once again for all Your concern and interest in the casting and project overall, I promise to submit more works in progress from the project as soon as we have something new

Zenn: "I've spent my whole life trying to be just like him, and now it turns out that I have just found a big fat joke book as a heritage!
Zenn: What should I do?"
Zenn: "This is awkward... A bolid?"
Zenn: "Well, that is..."
Zenn: "... definitely nothing I've been expecting to discover..."
Zenn: "A star...?"
Zenn: "Wha...?!" (suddenly stops)
Zenn: "Just... what kind of hallucination am I having?..."
Zenn: "...Because it's extremely realistic."
Zenn: "This is not real, this is not real..." (with a trembling voice)
Zenn: "What's with that cloud?"
Zenn: "Excuse me, sir..."

Zenn: "...Have to.. put on my ideological shell..."  (stuttering) (i recommend consonant sounds) "Have t-t-to p-put on my... m-my...")
Zenn: "Please, wait!"
Zenn: "...No way..."
Zenn: "H-hey! What are you?!" (should be said very quickly)
Zenn: "Ugh!"
Zenn: "I-I don't know what you're talking abo...Wait,did you say Celestia?"
Zenn: "Oh, that thing? It just fell to Earth from the sky." (should sound "whatever"-like)
Zenn: "W-what do you mean?"
Zenn: "Who..?"
Zenn: "Sooo... How are you going to conquer him? Do you have an...army or something?"
Zenn: "...Well, good luck with that." (skeptical)
Zenn: "...Why exactly is she with you guys?" (not impressed)
Zenn: "Sooo... what happens to Celestia once Orion is gone?"
Zenn: "... Either I didn't get the joke, or you just told it wrong."
Zenn: "Can I really defend a world that..."
Zenn: "...I don't really believe exists?"
Zenn: "Honestly, you've got the wrong guy..."

Starry,second main character, around 12-13 year-old-looking boy from Celestia, a positive ball of energy (I think a girl would be nice to voice act him as well!)   (character sheet soon to be fixed, there will be no big changes to the design though, maybe just the color scheme of the clothes)

Starry: *gasps*
Starry: "Could it be...?"
Starry: "Now spill the beans. Where did you get the legendary artifact of Celestia?" (suspicious!)
Starry: "Earth..." (fascinated)
Starry: "There's a legend in this world..."
Starry: "We're doing good! More and more citizens are joining against Orion and soon we might be able to conduct a rebellion!" (very excited)
Starry: „That's why you're here, to protect Celestia!"

Margaret, 17-year old girl from Celestia, usually very shy, a little clumsy. Always trying to help others She has a sweet, calm voice!

Margaret: "Could it be that he's the...Chosen One...?."
Margaret: "I want to help too......wwwaa-aaaa!" (cheerfully starts, then she makes a scream since she falls to the ground on her face xD clumsy) (You can also record her making noises like "oucchh..;A;" afterwards,but that's not necessary c: )
Margaret: "But we DO think you're special!"

Berenika, yet another girl from Celestia, she's slightly older than Margaret. A little harsh to men, very brave and..stylish. (I SO imagine her with british accent *3* but that's not necessary )

Berenika: "See? They're so fluffy you can even sit
on them!" (it's about the clouds in Celestia, she should say it nonchalantly, amused, as she's hopping onto a cloud and sits on it)

Ciril: "Orion." (it should sound very serious)

How to take part in the casting ?

Here are some tips for recording from ~BowermannMatt thank You once again for the tips!
"If you record in a small room like a closet and hang blankets on the wall to help minimize the echo. One other trick is to use a mic with a longer USB cable to keep the hard drive hum from showing up on the recording. And try not to use a headset mic. They are not very good for quality voice over work."


What are the prizes?

I'm willing to draw a picture and give points for each of the actors I'm going to choose for the animation

For Zenn's actor it would be a fullboy picture like this   and 300 points
For Arthur's and Starry's actors it would be a waist-up picture like: and 120 points
For Ciril, Berenika or Margaret- a portrait picture like: and 70 points
For the "other" section I'd like to give 40 points

Names of the voice actors will be announced here on DA and added to the credits of the finished animation

When is the deadline?
Since I need voice acting before drawing animation that includes talking characters, the deadline of submissions is this tuesday 15.01.2013. .The cast will be announced one/two days after that date

Hello everyone!
As the title suggests, I need a little help with my animation project. : <  soon I'll be needing to find voice actors (I'll be submitting journal about that soon...;A but before that I need to know that my scenario (which is really short since the animation is just a trailer) has no grammar/other mistakes ;A; Is there any native english speaker who would be kind enough to check if my scenario needs any changes? I would be very grateful for any help

<sub>Q:How did your style evolve? Were you inspired by a certain artist either on dA or somewhere else?
A: I think my biggest source of inspiration were my friends whom I've been meeting every week just to draw together and have fun (especially -she showed me that everything can be achieved just with hard work) and anime I loved most in my early teens (especially Gundam Wing).

Q: are you a student at animation? or did you finish animation college? or an regular art college?
A: I currently study Art of New Media at Polish-Japanese institute of Information Technology in Warsaw. It doesn't have as much in common with studying animation as I wish it did but I don't have much of a choice here where I live >_>'''' Actually I'm really jealous of people who study animation abroad XD Wish I was there sob.

Q: Do you have any favorite video game series? Anime? Or Cartoon series?
A: My favourite video game is the first "Rayman". I was so into it back when I was 8-9 that I've been even drawing fanarts!....(pairing Rayman up with Princess Anastasia OTL''''' ).
But If we talk about games in general then I would call all "Ace Attorney" series my favorites. I also like "Professor Layton" very much.
From anime I'd choose "Death Note" and "Gundam Wing", and when it comes to cartoons....I got sucked into "Gravity Falls" recently .

Q: How much do you work every day?
A:  I....I think I work a lot. And believe me, that's a serious problem I have here. xD I suffer from insomnia because I can't sleep when I have a feeling that something isn't done yet @__@' I'm sometimes paranoid and work daily 15-16 hours almost without taking a break. XD'' But sometimes there are days when I just crack and lay all day without a single sign of life.

Q: When have You started drawing?
A: Shortly before I started using my first DA account: it was around 2003.

Q: Do You have a favourite pencil?
A: Not really, my pencils tend to break so often I try to not get fond of them. but I indeed have favourite pencil leads- it's pentel B. I've tried many leads before but only with these I'm 100% satisfied. I don't know what would I do without them Q__Q'

hello guys! I thought I'll write a little update since so much've happened recently and I want to share it with You >w<

The tablet. The tablet I won in the Wacom contest has arrived and askhdasdghaodgihriewh IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL  (lime green is my signature color *-*) ;WWW; seriously, even the buttons on it are so nice to look at I cannot even OTL'' Thank You so much for helping me to win this! And the BEST thing about it is that the programs I especially wanted to win in this contest were in the package too! So now I can use them in my final animation for studies thank You thank You thank You gaaaaah

I just mentioned my final animation so the scenario has been finally accepted by my teacher and I'm going to do the storyboard now >w< can't wait to show You some works in progress! Probably I'll make an another Youtube account just to put there materials from the animation.

Only two more notebooks I'm selling are left! thank You very much for Your support! I actually wanted to ask If the notebooks arrived safely to You- I've gotten one note from that she already has it and I'm wondering how about others?

The artbook "Hearts and Chocolates II" I made with is still on sale! And again, I hope that everyone who bought it are satisfied with it since we've worked really hard to make it done

 About the story:

In a dreamlike world where dreams are forbidden and worth gold, the old Lindell Klaus is one of the last TrauHändlers, those dreams sellers who can, by their wishes, give life to their creations.
Within his toy shop (and for a fee), Lindell fulfills the wishes of those who have a heart noble enough to deserve such magic.

But his skills draw on him the greed of Lisbeth, the cruel Queen of the West lands who demands the TrauHändler to free her from the strange illness that ravages her body.

Aware that his rejection makes his death sentence and knowing his days counted from now on, Lindell fashions a puppet made of flesh and wheels in which he seals his strongest wills and powers.
However, he dies before he can end his work and for Franklyn, whom heart is incomplete, it's the beginning of a long journey for gain her freedom and retrieve the remains of her humanity.

Well, I'm Olivia Le Mosengaw the north kingdom's princess... and yes. I'm in this situation. And although I do everything in order to be allowed to step out of the world of the cliches finally, the soloution comes when I least expect it...

About the story:  

God has created angels around him in order to not be alone in the Heaven. Mikael is the oldest one who is the symbol of loyalty and righteousness. The youngest, the Angel of Destruction was making conflict in the Sky, so he had fallen because of his sins. Mikael is still walking among us to protect the humans and the Earth from the fearsome power of the Angel of Destruction. This tale has been well-known for centuries among humans, where the children are playing the fights between the angels and demons often, while the adults are protecting their cities from the demon spawns. In the village based on biblical Hebrew setting a traveller arrives, who won't reveal his name to anyone, so everyone is simply calling him Stranger...

recently I've been selling "double halo"/"lovey dovey" notebooks I was supposed to ship this wednesday. Unfortunately, when few days ago we received new notebooks from printing house, somehow the binding was done not the way we expected- on the shorter side of the notebook, just like on the photo---> [link]
I've sent an email to every paypal adress of my customers asking If I can ship the notebooks like that or would You like me to refund You the notebook. I'm very sorry that this has occured, I would've never expected that something could go wrong when two first notebooks were just the way I planned them.

Well...I won't be attending, but my books will do! XD
My friend will be having a stand there with and (I think so?) with where You can buy "Hearts and Chocolates 2" artbook we've made ---(more info here) and their other books, postcards and posters. By the way Anika has published her new BL comic for the Expo she worked hard on so please take a look!

I'm happy to announce that the first page of comic "Far Beyond The World-The Circinus" was, like promised, submitted on Smackjeeves!

Comic is made by me and (we split the pages for two) and it's about the history of our two characters, Ciril and Faighel- two soldiers and friends living in the world ruled by evil governon-Orion.
This story is a prelude, side story of the "Far Beyond the World" comic I'm drawing and thinking out for yeaaars ;A; (and I hope to submit the first chapter soon too!)
I do hope You'll like it because it's so called "the story of my life" and I love every each character so much.

First choice- my samurai OC, Nakago Hida

physical description: Nakago is a 20 years-old, healthy, medium muscled bushi (he should be 85 at the moment though..). Many little scars covers his body as a result of many hours spent on his shifts on the Kaiu Wall. Surprisingly enough he's not as tall as most Rokugani would recall members of the Hida family. He's 174.5 cm tall. His hair has that typical scruffy "off the Wall" vibe- shaggy and wild. 65 years ago his hair was dark red/brown and he had a single longer strand of hair reaching his back. As the effect of the Void Spell his hair turned almost white and he cut of the longer part of his hair as a symbol of mourning after Matsu Ayame, his wife from the Lion Clan. So now, his hair is almost white .
His eyebrows are in a constant frown expression, eyes dark and serious. Nakago wears a legendary armor obtained in the Shadowlands- Dark blue, black, silver are its main colors.  Tattered, black,dirty looking scarf is ofter hiding his chin. Moreover, Nakago has a white-feathered ( also changed color due to the spell) falcon called Shooko. Shooko likes to rest on Nakago's left arm or on his back. (but You don't have to draw it <3)

(that's how he looked like 65 years ago, now his armor is dark blue/black/silver and his hair is white. His eyes are still dark >w<)  

character's personality:
Nakago Hida would appear quite polite and caring as for a Crab. He tries his best to stay calm and collected to not get much into trouble outside the Crab's territory. it's easy for him to hide his needs or that he dislikes someone but at the same time it's very difficult for him to hide the fear of hurting/losing someone he loves/likes/protects. He would show no fear in battle, he wouldn't complain a bit about anything but he would cry like a baby if it appears that he just failed to protect someone he loves. To people who say it's a sign of weakness he would probably say: "crying is not for weak but for those who were brave for too long".It's hard to make him really angry (he may
swear often but that is just him being lively,) but any assaults directed to Matsu Ayame or his living or deceased family would make him furious. Also he will show little to no respect to those who make fun of fighting with the Shadowlands eye to eye.
Since Nakago was brought into the future he has a huge "liking" to sleep, he tries not to show it though since he doesn't want it to be seen as avoiding the fight or cowardry.

About his katana: Nakago's katana's tsuka is brown with red parts, saya is light red and very shiny. What's special about the katana is that there are two little charms attached to kashiri- little lion and a crab.

world he lives in: Rokugan is practically feudal Japan XD
  he was born in the Crab Clan (that's it's mon [link] it may show somewhere on the armor
  his armor should look like he seems to be "buried" in it XD he wears clothes that are slightly too big for him

Physics is his one and only love. he just loves reading about it and he's a genius when it comes to calculating something. He also spends all nights gazing at the stars and making experiments with stuff. Zenn wears goggles with colored lenses, his goggles work also as normal glasses for reading. Despite his nerdy look he's good at sports- especially snowboarding. Same goes with cooking!

he's the boss of an underground organizaton (something like mafia). He's very expressive, vigorous (and no one really knows where he gets that energy because he's really thin and he doesn't eat much). He's a guardian of Canis Maior constellation ( and his ears and tail are shepherd dog's like). He collects explosives, handguns and rifles- he also can make a bomb out of literally anything with his skills XD To people who doesn't know him he appears dangerous and unkind but the members of the mafia know he's like an older brother to everyone <333

wydaje sama 3 tom swojego komiksu i potrzebuje preorderów by spełnić marzenie!
Jest jedną z najbardziej pracowitych,skromnych i zajebistych osób jakie znam więc potrzebuje tych zamówień dammit ;_;
komiks ma aż 176 stron, bedzie kosztował prawdopodobnie jedynie 15zł,a PDF'y poprzednich tomów osoby zamawiające dostaną ZA DARMO!
Labirynt Dusz III- Zamowienia(do 22.10.12)Witam,
Piszę ten journal, ponieważ potrzebuję waszego wsparcia w wydaniu ostatniego, trzeciego tomu Labiryntu Dusz. Komiks wydam sama. Nie jestem jednak w stanie bez waszej pomocy określić nakładu. Wiem, że nie będzie on zbyt wielki. Chociaż dzięki komiksowi poznałam wspaniałych ludzi, otrzymałam cudowne fanarty, miłe komentarze a tworzenie go było ważną częścią mojej twórczości, to równocześnie zdaję sobie sprawę z tego, że nie jest on specjalnie popularny. Ponadto po tak długiej przerwie część czytelników mogła stracić zainteresowanie dalszymi losami LD. Chciałabym zamówić liczbę egzemplarzy zbliżoną do ilości osób zainteresowanych posiadaniem ostatniego tomiku w domu. Niestety musi zostać osiągnięte pewne minimum egzemplarzy, od którego drukarnia zgodziłaby się komiks wydrukow
